CLIMA
COVER Type CCH
Each CLIMA
COVER
is
made of nylon Silver
Laminate and is
lined 100% with
Micro-fiber.
Skygraphics’
developed Silver
Laminate especially
for aircraft
protection. The
outer material is a
medium weight nylon
treated for
ultraviolet
resistance and
anti-static buildup.
The inner lining is
a Micro-fiber to
prevent scratching.
Silver Laminate is
extremely
reflective. Tests
show that the cabin
interior temperature
can be reduced by as
much as 25 degrees
F. It is water, ice
and snow repellent,
yet breathable
enough to allow
moisture to escape
from between the
cover and the
windshield surface.
Silver Laminate does
not contain
hydrocarbon
compounds that can
harm Plexiglas
windshields and
acrylic finishes.
CLIMA
COVER Type CCL
In
addition skygraphics
offers a lighter
version of the CLIMA
COVER called
CCL (200 g/m²).
It sports similar
qualities as CCH,
but is for aircrafts
which are usually
parked inside a
hangar. However, CCL
covers are
recommended for use
outside during
transient parking or
when you park your
airplane while on
vacation.
CLIMA
COVER Versions
Canopy/Engine
Cover is a
one-piece cover
(100% lined with
Micro-fiber), that
is a combination
of the Canopy
Cover and Engine
Cover. This
CLIMA COVER will
enclose the engine
cowl and will
extend aft to
cover all of the
windows.
Wing
Covers are a
perfect solution
to protect your
paint and
prevent frost
and icing. They
are made of
medium weight
nylon and
form-fit to slip
around each wing
tip, cover the
entire upper
surface of the
wing and wrap
around the
leading and
trailing edges.
The covers
secure under the
wing along the
chord of the
wing with
adjustable
straps. The wing
covers also
attach to each
other with
adjustable
straps at the
leading and
trailing edges
of the wing
under the belly
of the plane.
Therefore the
wing covers
secure laterally
under the belly
and along the
chord of the
wing for maximum
protection. A
small mesh
cutout along the
bottom wing tip
allows any
excess water to
drain out so
that the cover
bottom won’t
sag. In some
instances,
cut-outs can be
made in the
trailing edge of
the wing covers
to accommodate
static wicks. We
have the ability
to also
accommodate wing
tip
modifications,
such as STOL
kits, etc. Wing
covers are
labeled LEFT and
RIGHT for your
convenience.
The Empennage
Cover is a
one-piece cover made
of medium weight
nylon. It covers the
vertical and
horizontal
stabilizers, as well
as the tail boom
area aft of the
Canopy Cover. The
cover attaches with
Velcro to the aft
edge of the Canopy
Cover, and with
adjustable straps
underneath the
belly. The cover is
pulled back over the
vertical stabilizer
and an all-weather
zipper is closed at
the trailing edge of
the rudder. The
cover is then
stretched over the
elevators and
zippered closed
along the bottom
outboard elevator
surfaces. The covers
synch under the
horizontal
stabilizers using
adjustable straps.
All antennas,
beacons and static
wicks, if
applicable, are
accounted for.
Horizontal
Stabilizer Covers are a
perfect solution to
protect your paint
and prevent frost
and icing. They
cover the entire
upper surface of the
stabilizers and
overlap around the
leading and trailing
edges as well as the
wing tip. The covers
secure under each
stabilizer with
adjustable straps.
The Engine
Cover will
synch around or
behind the spinner,
cover the entire
engine cowling area
including the engine
air cooling and
carburetor air
inlets, and fastens
together with Velcro
beneath the spinner
down the front of
the cowling. The
Engine Cover is
attached with a
belly strap aft of
the firewall, and
can Velcro to the
Canopy Cover.
Tailcone
Covers
fit onto the tailcone
like a glove to cover
all of the holes into
which birds can fly
and nest. They easily
strap onto the leading
edge of the horizontal
stabilizer with padded
hooks or overlap with
the elevators slightly
and attach under the
horizontal stabilizers
with adjustable
straps.
